2023 Youth Vocal Competition

Dear Friends of the Longmont Chorale,
The Longmont Chorale is pleased to once again host a Youth Vocal Competition on October 28, 2023. We are encouraging all middle and high school vocalists to consider competing. Again this year we are offering a category for changed male voices, if there are at least five applicants.
The first place winner in each category will receive a $300 cash prize and have the opportunity to perform a solo with the Longmont Chorale at our Holiday Concert on December 3, 2023. The second place winners will receive a $200 cash prize and the third place winners will receive a $100 cash prize. The number of slots is limited, so please have students apply as early as possible. There is a $20 application fee. The application deadline is Monday, October 16, 2023.
We are asking that students select an art song, classical in nature, for the competition. The winners may perform their art song or a holiday song during the concert. Students must provide their own accompanist.

This is an adjudicated and critiqued event. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to share their love of music, hone their competition skills, and receive constructive feedback from highly skilled judges.
