If you’re just meeting us for the first time, welcome!  Let us introduce ourselves…

The Longmont Chorale is a singing group in Longmont.  We are Longmont’s SATB community choir, a nonprofit Longmont choral group with a mission for our community:

The Longmont Chorale provides and supports an open, non-auditioned community choir, enriching the lives of singers and patrons through the study, creation, and performance of beautiful choral music.

…or you may hear us succinctly say, “Singing from our Hearts to Yours“!

The full Chorale currently performs four major concerts in Longmont per season, featuring a diverse repertoire of music across genres such as classical, pop, jazz, movie & show tunes, Celtic, and more.  All are welcome to sing with the full Chorale, and there is no audition to join.  Only simple pitch-matching exercises are needed.  More details are available on our Join page.  You’ll find examples of the concerts we perform when you look at our Tickets page.

In addition, our smaller, auditioned group, the Chorale Singers, performs at special events and gigs around our community.  For instance, Singers annually sings for the Longmont United Hospital tree lighting ceremony, sings for assisted living residents, has joined the Longmont Symphony Orchestra’s Candlelight Concert, and performed at Love Notes, which is our Guild‘s annual fundraiser-performance near Valentine’s Day.

One of the great things about the Longmont Chorale is the camaraderie between members.  Friendships run deep in the Chorale, with some of our members having been with us for decades.  Ask how many of our singers are married to another Chorale member, and many hands will go up.  Ask our concert audience how many are directly connected to someone on the risers, and another wave of hands will appear.  Choral music builds community in a way few other things can!

If you like to travel, consider joining us for our next international tour!  You’ll find information about our upcoming tour on our Join page.  You need not be a member of the Chorale to tour with us.
