‘Requiem: Mozart’s Last Words’, Ms. Susan McKenzie

Susan’s Biography

Soprano Susan McKenzie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She currently resides in Greeley, where she works full-time in Marketing and Event Planning for the Success Foundation Serving Greeley-Evans Schools.  She also serves as the Social Media coordinator for the Greeley Chorale, the Choral Director at First United Methodist Church in Windsor, and a Freelance Musician and Voice Teacher.

Susan enjoys an active performing career. Her recent notable performances include soprano soloist for Schubert’s Mass in G Major with the Greeley Chorale, Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, and Mendelssohn’s Drei geistliche Lieder with the Greeley Chamber Choir, and Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem, as well as multiple solo appearances throughout the Northern Colorado Area.

Ms. McKenzie has been a participant in the Bailey Choral festival since its inaugural season in 2012. Here, she has performed as a chorister in the Haydn Paukenmesse under Dr. Howard Skinner’s baton, and Bach’s B Minor Mass, St. Matthew Passion, and St. John Passion with world-renowned conductor Simon Carrington of The Kings Singers. She has also had the opportunity to perform internationally, touring Germany, Prague, and France.

The Longmont Chorale performs, “Requiem: Mozart’s Last Words” on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 3PM at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont.  The Chorale and guest soloists are accompanied by instrumentalists from the Longmont Symphony Orchestra.

The Longmont Chorale is a nonprofit Longmont choral group, an SATB choir which performs four major concerts in Longmont each season.  Concert tickets and information are both available at LongmontChorale.org/Tickets.
